These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with The Blue Gnu Leisure Ltd. It is very important that you read and fully understand these terms and conditions prior to placing an order.
Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights. All references to 'us', 'we' or the 'Company' refers to The Blue Gnu Leisure Ltd. 'You' or the 'customer' refers to the person responsible for placing the order. By placing an order with The Blue Gnu Leisure Ltd. you are agreeing to these terms and conditions. This site, www.the-camping-manual.com is owned and operated by the The Blue Gnu Leisure Ltd. Registered office 37 Victoria Street, Norwich, NR1 3QX, United Kingdom. Registered Number 5569612 (England and Wales) VAT Number 869 0193 94.

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales over any claim or matters arising under or in connection with this agreement.

Ordering your Tent

  • All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and include UK VAT at 17.5% unless clearly stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
  • The Company reserves the right to maintain any discounted, sales prices or offers indefinitely.
  • Full payment must be made at the time of ordering. The ordered item will be dispatched only after full payment has been received.
  • We are pleased to accept orders from the United Kingdom. If ordering from outside of the United Kingdom, please email customer-services@the-camping-manual.com for the correct postage costs.
  • For the avoidance of doubt the territory of England, Wales and parts of Scotland, excluding the highlands and islands when used on this website is defined as all postcodes excluding IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, BT, IM, TR21-25.
  • All orders will be charged when they are placed.
  • We will accept orders via telephone, online transaction, e-mail and post.
  • You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point at which you click on "Confirm" on the final page of our ordering process.
  • We will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order and to confirm your details. Our acceptance of your order will take place upon dispatch of the goods ordered and at this point the contract will be binding.
  • All items are supplied subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available.
  • In order that we may contact you please ensure that your e-mail address is correct when placing the order.
  • We reserve the right to supply a substitute item if the item ordered is not available.
  • If the substitute good is not acceptable to the customer we will pay the cost of returning the item supplied as a substitute.
  • Every effort is made to ensure that the colours shown on the site are accurate but some colours may vary due to technical limitations.

Payment Terms

  • To make sure that you always have the highest level of security your payment details are automatically encrypted when you enter them. You can pay for your online order using Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch and Solo cards.
  • If your payment is not authorised we will not accept any liability for delays in you receiving your ordered goods. All orders must be placed by a registered card holder at a registered UK address.

Delivery
  • Where an order is placed before 3pm Monday through to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) we will, subject to availability, use our best endeavours to deliver the order within 4 working days.
  • If you order after 3.00pm, please calculate your delivery time as if your order had been placed the following working day.
  • Delivery will be made to an address specified by you and will be made by our authorised courier.
  • We reserve the right to deliver your order in instalments.
  • Most products are delivered either by courier or by post, depending on their size and value.
  • All items delivered require a signature. This acknowledges receipt of the goods and also that they are in good condition. If a signature is obtained from any person other than the named customer at the specified delivery address, the named customer is still responsible for the item and any charges associated with it.
  • When you receive your item/s from the courier please ensure that you check the packaging of your goods prior to signing the delivery note.
  • If you have received a package that is damaged, it is extremely important that you sign the courier's delivery note as "damaged" and notify us within 12 hours, by telephone or email, of receipt.
  • The courier will not accept insurance claims for damaged packaging and goods if they have obtained a clean signature. If required, we will then arrange for the item to be collected. Nothing in these terms and conditions will reduce your statutory rights in relation to faulty or mis-described goods.
  • Standard courier deliveries are usually made between 7am and 5.30pm. All deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives, the courier will leave a card with a contact number for you to call or may deliver to a neighbouring address.

Cancellations

  • Under the Distance Selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing either by e-mail (to customer-services@the-camping-manual.com) or by letter (to 37 Victoria Street, Norwich, NR1 3QX) confirming the customer's name and items cancelled.
  • If the order has already been dispatched, the delivery cost will be subtracted from the refund, as this charge will need to be paid to the courier.
  • Customers must retain the items and subsequently return the goods to us within 14 days.
  • We will ensure your request for cancellation is actioned quickly, however please be aware that during busy periods refunds can take up to 30 working days to be actioned.
  • Please return the goods unused and in the original packaging.
  • The costs of returning the goods will be met by the customer.
  • The Company retains the right to take statutory action against a customer for breach of the customer's statutory duty to take reasonable care of the item being returned.
  • The material on this website is directed solely at those who access this website from the United Kingdom only.
  • We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.
  • These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
