Tent height
The tent height is an important factor when choosing a tent as most people prefer to be able to stand up in a tent if given the option. I for one feel that it is a huge bonus as it allows more comfortable living conditions if you are restricted to the tent for extended times, eg when it is raining. The height is often overlooked but being able to stand up in the tent is a huge benefit.
The majority of modern tents are dome shaped and therefore slope down from the apex of the tent. As such, the height quoted will be the heighest point only and this point at least needs to be of a height where you can easily stand. Try and avoid those tents with a pronounced centre rise as this will restrict movement at the peripheral.
Getting dressed and going about daily activities is much easier if you are able to stand up fully, however, most tents limit this luxury to the central hall area only and provide only restricted bedroom height.
A good height to aim for is two meters.
