Campsites: To find campsites around the UK and France visit http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk. This site has details of thousands of campsites including descriptions, directions, maps, nearby attractions and contact details.

General Countryside information: Visit http://www.countrysideaccess.gov.uk/ the official website for the Countryside Code and including maps of Open Access land in England. This site contains ideas for what you can do in the countryside, educational resources for teachers and group leaders, maps, local walks in your area, a Countryside Directory, details of the new right of access to Access Land, commonly known as the 'right to roam', and lots more. Tourist information: The official website for tourism in England can be found at http://www.enjoyengland.com/ This provides loads of information about planning days out, finding places to stay, attractions and activities. Map reading: For a very useful beginners course on map reading visit http://leisure.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/leisure/tscontent/editorial/mapfacts/leaflets/map_reading_made_easy.pdf. This site covers areas such as understanding maps, grid references, reading contours and relief, map orienting and using a compass.
